Press Release: March 27, 2005
Digitalis Education Solutions, Inc., creator of the breakthrough Digitarium Alpha portable digital planetarium projector, is pleased to announce that it is accepting orders from Europe and Canada. Shipments to these areas will begin in May.

European and Canadian educational institutions are now able to purchase the first truly affordable digital planetarium system. The Digitarium Alpha is ideal for schools and school districts, science centers, education service agencies, outreach programs, colleges, astronomy clubs, small planetaria, observatories, or any portable or fixed dome up to eight meters in diameter.

The Digitarium Alpha projector will make its European début at the European Meeting of Portable Planetaria in Nantes, France on May 6-7, 2005. Digitalis invites you to come see the Digitarium Alpha in a five meter Digitalis dome.

The Digitarium Alpha projector offers advanced features to excite and engage students of all ages, from preschool through college. Zoom in on and label any object; demonstrate annual motion, including displaying planet trails; show the effects of precession of the equinoxes; simulate the sky from any point on Earth; display constellation line drawings, labels, and artwork; and much more.

Teachers can use the Digitarium Alpha´s integrated DVD drive to project their own or third party images and video, including prerecorded fulldome shows. The projector also has a video-in port for projecting directly from a separate computer, if desired.

Due to its digital technology, the Digitarium Alpha projector is significantly more powerful than analog ("pinhole") portable planetariums. Think of the power of a computer versus a slide projector.

Despite its comprehensive capabilities, the Digitarium Alpha is simple to operate: most interaction with the projector is with a handheld, backlit remote control. No keyboard, mouse, monitor, or laptop is necessary; all commands are at the user´s fingertips anywhere in the dome.

In addition to the Digitarium Alpha projector, Digitalis Education Solutions, Inc. sells inflatable domes in a variety of sizes and colors.

Digitalis Education Solutions, Inc. is seeking sales agents in Europe and elsewhere outside the United States and hopes to select representatives in the near future.

About the Digitarium Alpha projector:
The Digitarium Alpha projector was launched in November, 2003 to fill the need for an affordable, full-featured, portable planetarium projector. The Digitarium Alpha projector allows educators to easily take the capabilities of a fixed planetarium on the road or to share one system across an entire school district.
