Web Application Developer - Javascript/Dojo

About us

Digitalis Education Solutions, Inc. is the leading manufacturer of digital planetarium systems. Our systems are used world-wide for astronomy education.
We are looking for an experienced software engineer who desires to work at a small organization where his or her contributions will be
significant and visible to a global user base. This is a full time position focused primarily on an existing web application using Dojo.

Desired

Experience as a software applications developer

Strong asynchronous Javascript skills and knowledge of document object model

Some multi-threaded applications programming experience in C++

Solid understanding of Linux usage and some development experience targeting Linux

Ability to work independently and on a team


Preferred


Web application development using Dojo specifically

Familiar with authoring content for Safari and Firefox.

Experience with web service backends

Linux development toolchains (CMake, Autotools, gdb, Eclipse)

Experience developing large applications that integrate several smaller
components

Understanding of user-centric design principles


Bonus


OSX platform development experience

Experience with Boost libraries

Web server configuration / administration

Linux administration

Interest in open source software



Low-key, friendly environment. Partial telecommuting possible, but should be located in the Puget Sound region. Salary DOE.
